State Representative Nancy Landry (R - Lafayette), is the senior elected Republican woman in the state. She is a recognized leader on education, and issues facing Louisiana families and children. She is also a leading proponent of student-centric education reform, working to ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive a quality education.
Representative Landry represents District 31 in the Louisiana House of Representatives. District 31 includes portions of Lafayette and Vermilion Parishes. Nancy was elected to the House in 2008, re-elected without opposition in 2011 and re-elected in 2015 with 85% of the vote.
Representative Landry currently serves as Chair of the House Education Committee. Previously, she served as Vice-Chair of the Civil Law and Procedure Committee.
Nancy is a member of the Acadiana Delegation, the Legislative Women's Caucus, the Republican Legislative Caucus, the Rural Caucus and the Louisiana Innovation Council. She is also a member of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB).
